Infrared Thermal Imaging
We use FLIR infrared cameras every day on every house that we inspect. Infrared cameras allow us to look beyond the sheetrock and into the walls. With infrared technology you can see the studs, framing, insulation, wiring and plumbing. Abnormalities such as water leaks, mold and termites now become visible.Besides finding leaks and locating areas of moisture, infrared cameras depict differences in temperatures. This is excellent at spotting overheated electrical circuits, or studying the flow of air from the air registers. By comparing the temperatures of the discharge air with the inlet air you can determine the performance of the furnace and air conditioner.
